If you’re in need of a vacation but your bank account has other plans, the next best thing is to trick your mind into thinking you’re somewhere tropical. Caribbean fruits can help with that! You’re bound to see some of these fantastic fruits in your supermarket produce section, all of which can go a long way to giving you that tropical escape in a number of refreshing ways.
Coconut
Coconuts are full of nutrient-rich water inside that you can simply sip or use to make soups, smoothies, and flavorful beverages. The best part is the jelly inside of young coconuts but for more mature fruits, you can take the hardened meat within and shred it. Use it to coat your shrimp before frying for a truly tropical twist.
Mango
Perhaps one of the most versatile fruits from the Caribbean is the mango. You can make smoothies with mangoes as well as salads, curries, chutney, ice cream, and so much more. Of course, you can simply eat it as-is and revel in a lovely, sweet moment.
Papaya
