GANACHE for your baking needs :)
Making Ganache is soooo easy ! My method of choice is over a bain-marie. Especially if this is your first time, much easier to control consistency.

- medium-sized stainless steel bowl
- medium-sized pan
- spatula
Ingredients :
- 20 g butter
- 1 cup rich chocolate
- 1 cup heavy Cream
- Melt butter and chocolate together in a stainless steel bowl over a bain-marie, on low heat
- In a small saucepan, heat cream on low heat- very important to not let boil, just allow to simmer
- Take chocolate off bain-marie, and pour heated cream over chocolate mix
- Gently stir with a silicone spatula, making sure everything has melted
- And ready to be set
- Allow to set for at least 2 hours before using
- Enjoy
Tips :
- Ganache typically takes about 2 hrs to set
- Butter (the fat) helps to achieve that creamy-ness and stability
- Can be piped and used for muffins or for cakes
- Can be stored up to 5-6 days, in a tightly sealed container
