GANACHE for your baking needs :)

Making Ganache is soooo easy ! My method of choice is over a bain-marie. Especially if this is your first time, much easier to control consistency.

  • medium-sized stainless steel bowl
  • medium-sized pan 
  • spatula

Ingredients : 

  • 20 g butter
  • 1 cup rich chocolate 
  • 1 cup heavy Cream 

  • Melt butter and chocolate together in a stainless steel bowl over a bain-marie, on low heat
  • In a small saucepan, heat cream on low heat- very important to not let boil, just allow to simmer 
  • Take chocolate off bain-marie, and pour heated cream over chocolate mix
  • Gently stir with a silicone spatula, making sure everything has melted
  • And ready to be set
  • Allow to set for at least 2 hours before using
  • Enjoy


  • Ganache typically takes about 2 hrs to set
  • Butter (the fat) helps to achieve that creamy-ness and stability
  • Can be piped and used for muffins or for cakes
  • Can be stored up to 5-6 days, in a tightly sealed container
