My name is Lola!

With the help and love of my mother, I’ve been cooking since I was eight years old. The ability to transform fresh ingredients into a delicious recipe has always fascinated me, and still does today! Through my mother, the love and passion of cuisine were passed down to me. I learned what the true value of sharing food was: cooking together to create memorable experiences while learning the culture and history that food carries. It’s that value that fuels me today and that birthed Cuisine Lakay Lola’s motto: Cook. Create. Educate.

My mission

Following a trip to Haiti I went on to pursue my passion and follow in my mother’s generous footsteps by creating a business where I could spread the joy of traditional Haitian culture through my cooking. As a single mother, it hasn’t always been easy, but that didn’t stop me!

After obtaining all the necessary certifications, Cuisine Lakay Lola is now becoming a pioneer in the field of Haitian ready-to-eat food counters, making Haitian and Caribbean food and products accessible to all through our online fine goods store - the Makèt, our educational Cooking Classes and our practical Meal Prep solutions!
